We are looking for a creative bilingual (English/French) content creator to create original and engaging content for NAWL’s social media accounts and newsletter.
The position will help increase NAWL’s online presence to:
- Increase awareness of our mission, our current priority areas, and the role we’ve played as a major stakeholder in the past 50 years.
- Increase donations and fundraising capacity.
- Develop new partnerships & strengthen existing relationships.
Experience:
- Experience in a content creator role, developing compelling stories in a variety of digital media formats including photography and videography.
- Previous experience in a non-profit organization an asset.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to turn content ideas into images, videos, infographics, reels/stories and text captions.
- Ability to create powerful visuals through Canva.
- Demonstrated experience in editing and publishing video and photography.
- Demonstrated experience creating animated content, videos, photography, and blogs (i.e. animated video, graphics/infographics, templates). ability to think creatively.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond effectively to competing timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional with a strong work ethic.
Missions:
- Creation of social media content for NAWL’s social media channels (X, Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn) and monthly newsletter.
- Ensure all content is branded appropriately and suitable for the respective social account.
- Create content in alignment with weekly/monthly objectives and ensure the pages remain fresh and engaging.
- Monitor comments/direct messages and draft responses in a timely manner.
- Report to NAWL’s Communications Director.
About the position
- Freelance contract, one day a week, with flexible hours.
- You must have the right to work in Canada.
- This position is for a term of six (6) months with opportunities for extension.
